OLUSEGUN OBASANJO IGNITE ANOTHER WAR IN THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday was one of the dignitaries that graced the public presentation of the autobiography of former Justice of the appeal court Justice Mustapha Akanbi when he was called to the podium he concentrated on the state of the nation while doing this he berated the national assembly calling them house of looters and thieves. His words below,

"Apart from shrouding the remunerations of the National Assembly in opaqueness and without transparency, they indulge in extorting money from departments, contractors and ministries in two ways"

"They do so during visits to their projects and programmes and in the process of budget approval when they build up budgets for ministries and departments, who agree to give it back to them in contracts that they do not execute. They do similar things during their inquiries.”

"Corruption in the National Assembly also includes what they call constituency projects which they give to their agents to execute but invariably, full payment is made with little or no job done. In all this, if the executive is not absolutely above board, the offending members of the National Assembly resort to subtle or open threat, intimidation and blackmail. When the executive pay the huge money, normally in millions of dollars, all is quiet in form of whitewashed reports that fail to deal effectively with the issues investigated.” 

 "When the guard is the thief, only God can keep the house safe and secure. But I am optimistic that sooner than later, we will overcome. God will give us guards of integrity and honesty with the fear of God and genuine love of their people and their country.

“Today, there is no institution of government that is not riddled with corruption, not even the military. As the people cry out, where then is the salvation.” Obasanjo said

he also adviced the government treat the Boko Haram issue with less force to be able to yield result

FORMER PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA WISHES TO LIVE MORE THAN THE NEXT TEN YEARS

Former head of state and civilian President Chief Olusegun Obansanjo collecteed his Permanent voters card PVC amidst mixed feeling on how long he was going to stay.
Knowing that tomorrow is not given, he wished to outlive his card normally the card is meant to last for the next ten years and he wished and begged God  to outlive the card.
The former president who commended on the progress of INEC asked them to please to fix all the hitches associated with the PVC and continuous registration process. He urged Nigerians not to complain like they are doing right now and be patient with INEC he said he has heard lots of people complain but didn't complain cause he knows he will eventually get his.
Speaking from his hill top home in Abeokuta the Ogun state capital he also disclosed that he has also gotten his National I.D and stated that the new schemes put in place by the government concerning the PVC and National I.D portrays the country in a good light to the rest of the world.
He also made enquiriy on how to go about replacement if you lose your PVC.
We wish him many more years so he can outlive the card

The town of Azaya Kura in Borno state as the dreaded monsters going by the name BOKO HARAM who has been disturbing the north east for years now have struck again this morning killing over forty five people in the town and a couple of others are in the bush nursing their wounds.whilw the rest are trying to get to the capital Maidugiri.

 Confirming the attack, the caretaker of Mafa Local Government area, Shettima Lawan described it as wicked and appealed to the federal government to act fast in helping them.

 "How can some people be so wicked to kill innocent people, 45 people at once without any confrontation? There is no compulsion in religion and I am still searching for the motive behind mass killing and destruction by some people under the guise of entrenching certain religion. I wish to appeal to the Federal Government to take urgent steps and rescue our people from imminent extinction.” he saidof others are seeking for safety in the bush there us.

The national assembly reconvened today 20th Nov 2014 to discuss the extension of the state of emergency in the northern states and they were refused access into the house by heavily armed Police Officers and SSS men so most of them had t scale the fence and gates to get in speculations said the closure was targeted at the speaker of the house of reps, a house member, shared the following pictures on his Facebook page to inform the world on the current happenings in the house. Reports say the Speaker and other members was teargassed
